Braves Baseball is an independent, full-time travel baseball organization founded in 2000 with a team of 13 year olds formerly known as the Lake County Chiefs. Over the ensuing years, the program gained national recognition with back-to-back 50+ win seasons featuring several prominent tournament championships and a top 10 national ranking. The Braves expect to achieve similar levels of baseball excellence with the current roster of teams at the 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, & 15 year-old levels. Over the years, players representing several northern communities of Chicago, including Northbrook, Glenview, Glencoe, Evanston, Winnetka, Deerfield, Lake Forest, Lincolnshire, Wilmette and Highland Park have helped establish these teams while representing the village of Highwood. The Braves' coaching staff is experienced, deep and largely independent. Their dedication to player development can be witnessed on a year-round basis. Going forward, it's the goal of the organization to continue to field teams at every age level which are supported by indoor and outdoor facility acquisitions as well as financially from alumni and corporate sponsors.
